Treats For Cats supports Tiny Timmy’s Healing Journey
Treats For Cats supports Tiny Timmy’s campaign to raise awareness of the harm caused to pets and children by some flea and tick products. When Tiny Timmy was rescued he was neurologically damaged but he is now on a Healing Journey and shares his ups and downs, his triumphs and frustrations with his friends.
Currently, other than napping, eating and playing, Tiny Timmy spends his time as a Spokeskitty, lobbying manufacturers, advocating alternatives and educating pet parents so that they can understand product labelling ... for example did you know that permethrin (the synthetic form of pyrethrin) is commonly found in dog flea products but it is harmful to cats. Please help to spread the word that flea products intended for dogs should never be used on cats !
So why are we supporting Tiny Timmy? Well, Tiny Timmy was a good friend of Zag and they met online through Catbook, where Zag had somehow managed to work his way into the affections of several thousand online friends.
Zag was rescued by the good people at Wood Green Animal Shelters but just like Tiny Timmy found new purpose in life being kind to other animals and helping them through adversity.
So why does this matter to Treats For Cats? Well, one of the other things that Zag was passionate about was Thrive Treats (100% Fish was his favourite) and he raved about them so much on Catbook, that we had lots of enquiries about where these exotic treats could be purchased.
Zag suggested we set up our online shop to help all the cats in the world get their own tubes and that’s how Treats For Cats was started.
Sadly, Zag passed to Rainbow Bridge in March 2010 but his spirit is still strong. Zag is very proud of the work that Tiny Timmy is doing to help everyone and hopes that you will spend just a couple of minutes of your day to find out more about flea product safety.
